Who are Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT'’s)?

Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT'’s) are mental health professionals trained in psychotherapy and family systems.  MFT’'s are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals, couples, and family members of all ages.

Is it better for me to solve my own problems without a therapist solving them for me?  

A therapist does not solve problems or give advice, instead we are here as your co-pilot helping you to build useful tools to create lasting solutions for the present and future.

If I decide to try therapy, what will I gain from the process?

Together we will create useful tools to assist you during your session and at home. Communicating openly and honestly is imperative to the therapeutic process and will also help you to get the most out of your sessions. Therapy also tends to work best when all appointments are kept, and consistent participation is maintained.

What are your payment options ? Do you take insurance?

Ascending Solutions does not take any insurance, however, all services can be paid via cash, credit, debit, Square or PayPal. Sliding scale fees are available to those who qualify.  Clients may also check with their HSA or FSA  provider to confirm eligibility for reimbursement. 

How do I know which service I need?

Once you complete your consultation call and start the intake process, your counselor/coach will discuss which treatment modality would be best specific to your needs.

How long will I be in therapy?

Sessions are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (60 or 90 min session).  If you arrive late to your appointment, you are still responsible to pay for your full session. The treatment process is goal oriented and sessions begin to taper off as you approach the ending phase of services.

Can I reschedule or cancel an appointment?

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled; however, there will be a charge for scheduled appointments that are not rescheduled or cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. This is discussed in the Appointment and Cancellation consent form.
